Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must include NEW Qualification Include: First of all, foreign citizens must be healthy and friendly to China. Candidates must be under 35 years of age (Master’s programs) with undergraduate degrees and below 40 years old for (PhD). Applicants should also not be in receipt of any scholarships from the Chinese Government of affiliated organizations, abide by Chinese laws and regulations, and comply with NUIST regulations.

• Step 1: Online Application

      • You are advised to choose NUIST Excellent Freshmen Scholarship in the registration. Its deadline is June 30, 2025.

• Step 2: Submit Required Documents

1. • Mandatory for All Applicants:
     • Copy of your passport
     • Recent passport-sized photo (within 6 months).
     • Notarized Bachelor/Master degree certificate and transcripts (without notarization, please provide in Chinese or English with translations)
     • Foreigner Physical Test Form with fully stamped
     • Non-criminal record certificate.
     • Study Plan/Research Proposal (800+ words for Master’s/PhD).
   • Additional for Master’s Applicants:
     • Two letters of recommendation from a professor
   • Additional for PhD Applicants:
     • Acceptance letter from a NUIST doctoral supervisor.
     • Published academic papers/achievements (if available).
