Scholarship Details

Eligibility Criteria

• International Students: Open to students from all countries.
• Age Limit:
  • Masters: Maximum 35 years old.
  • PhD: Maximum 40 years old.
• Language Proficiency: English proficiency certificate required (IELTS is not mandatory). For Chinese-taught programs, an HSK certificate is required if available.

• Fill the Shanghai Government Online Application Form:
  • If the online portal is not working, download the form here and upload it to the Tongji University portal.
• Fill the Tongji University Online Application Form:
  • Upload all required documents.
• Pay the Application Fee:
  • 600 RMB application fee is required.
• Result Announcement:
  • Results will be announced by the end of July 2025

3. Highest Degree Certificate (Notarized copy).
4. Transcripts of Highest Education (Notarized copy).
5. Personal Statement:
   • Masters: Minimum 800 words.
   • PhD: Minimum 1,500 words.
6. Two Recommendation Letters.
7. Passport Copy.
8. Physical Examination Form (Photocopy).
9. Papers or Articles Published or to be Published (if applicable).
10. Non-Criminal Record.
11. English Proficiency Certificate (IELTS is not mandatory).
12. Acceptance Letter (optional).
