- Robotic Design: Develop advanced robotic systems, including mechanical and electrical design for aerial and ground robots.

Research Team
The Ph.D. student will work closely with:
- Dr. Dong Chen: Assistant Professor at ABE, with over 20 publications in top journals and conferences, including COMPAG, T-TITS, RAL, TMECH, and ICRA.
- Dr. J. Alex Thomasson: Professor, Department Head of ABE, and Director of the Agricultural Autonomy Institute (AAI). Dr. Thomasson is renowned for his work in agricultural autonomy, precision agriculture, remote sensing, drones, and cotton production.
Qualifications
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in agricultural/biosystems engineering or a closely related field.
- Research experience in mechanical design, sensors, control, optimization, or related areas.
- Proficiency in Python/C++, ROS, 3D modeling software, or mechanical design platforms.
- For international applicants: TOEFL (79) or IELTS (6.5).
