For Master’s Students (2 Years):

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
  1. Nationality: Non-Chinese citizens in good health, friendly to China.
  2. Academic Requirements:
    • Master’s Applicants: Bachelor’s degree and age under 35.
    • PhD Applicants: Master’s degree and  age under 40.
  3. Language Proficiency:
    • English-Taught Programs: English Proficiency Certificate (IELTS is not mandatory)..
    • Chinese-Taught Programs: HSK-5 (180+ score) for postgraduate applicants.
  4. Other Requirements:
    • No concurrent scholarships from Chinese government or organizations.
    • Compliance with Chinese laws and NUIST regulations.
APPLICATION PROCESS

Documents for Master’s & PhD Applicants:
  • Mandatory for All:
    • Scanned passport copy (valid for entire study period).
    • Recent passport-sized photo (within 6 months).
    • Notarized highest degree certificate and transcripts (with translations if not in Chinese/English).
    • Foreigner Physical Examination Form (valid for 6 months, fully stamped/signed).
    • Non-criminal record certificate.
    • Study Plan/Research Proposal (800+ words for Master’s/PhD).
  • Additional for Master’s:
    • Two recommendation letters (from professors/associate professors, with contact details).
  • Additional for PhD:
    • Acceptance letter from NUIST doctoral supervisor.
    • Published academic papers/achievements (if available).
SCHOLARSHIP CONFIRMATION
  1. NUIST reviews applications and notifies selected candidates via email.
  2. Scholarship recipients must pay the application fee (details here).
  3. Admission documents are sent electronically.
  4. Conditions:
    • No changes to field/duration of study without forfeiting the scholarship.
    • Annual review mandatory.
    • Scholarship revoked if registration is delayed.
