About the Fellowship
The Einstein Fellowship supports outstanding individuals under 35 who are ready to step outside their academic specialization and embrace interdisciplinary approaches. Fellows will:
- Reside for 5–6 months in the historic garden cottage of Einstein’s summerhouse in Caputh, Brandenburg (near Berlin and Potsdam).
- Receive a stipend of €10,000 and reimbursement for travel expenses.
- Present their work in public lectures at the Einstein Forum and Wittenstein Foundation.
- Deadline: May 15, 2025
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be under 35 years old and hold a university degree(Bachelor/Master) in the humanities, social sciences, or natural sciences.
- The proposed project must differ significantly in content, field, or form from your previous work.
- Language Proficiency: English Proficiency Certificate (IELTS is not mandatory)..
- Not eligible: Dissertation research or continuations of ongoing academic studies.
Application Requirements
Submit the following by May 15, 2025:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Two-page project proposal demonstrating originality, feasibility, and interdisciplinary potential.
- Two letters of recommendation.
Applications are judged on the quality, originality, and impact of the proposed project, as well as the applicant’s intellectual rigor. A PhD is not required.
Key Notes
- The fellowship is a launchpad for new ideas, not the completion of existing projects.
- Projects can be the starting point for longer-term work.
- No fellowships will be awarded for dissertation research.
